This page will provide more information about my ongoing work looking at the distribution of ragweed pollen across environmental and socioeconomic gradients in Minneapolis.
Summary:
In Summer and Fall 2020, I set up 50 pollen samplers on Minneapolis Public School properties to collect ragweed pollen . These samplers will determine if ragweed pollen is more abundant in particular areas of the city, and/or associated with climate or land cover type. I’ll add more details as the project moves forward! I wrote a blog post about the motivation for this research in October 2020: Ragweed in the City.
